Is It Really July Already?

Time sure flies when you're...not really doing anything. I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th. I ended up doing my traditional 1812 Overture (which I'm listening to right now :D) and fireworks in Hermann Park. Although we sat pretty far away from the orchestra, it was still glorious hearing the cannons go off. It probably would have been even better close up, but I was still satisfied, so I guess I can't complain. The fireworks themselves, however, have kinda lost their allure. I think part (or most) of it is because the best fireworks show I ever saw was in 2003, in New York (mark this occasion, because this is the only time I will ever give that city any sort of credit), when they had fireworks in the shape of smiley faces. I haven't seen a firework like that since, and have been very sorely disappointed. OH! For my BESIPS readers, the best part of the night was running into Pinta on my way home. She apparently recognized me from the back of my head, haha.

Earlier this week, I went to dinner with my future classmates. Even though I've already met some of them before, meeting new ones is getting me--ah, the cannons just went off in the 1812 Overture .mp3...glorious--pretty excited to start school. It's only a month and a half away...but I have a feeling it'll be here before I know it. Which reminds me, I need to do my financial aid stuff. I think I'll work on that now...
